After much work and consultation the GAINS team has released the final version of the WISDOM MAP EXPLORER 1.0 RFP document. The team is anticipating replies to this document from a selected pool of developers by Friday November 10^th for review. 

Currently the mapping component used by the GAINS site is a Google API (Application Programming Interface) that allows the team to display point data with selected information about each of the points. The development of the WISDOM Map Explorer 1.0 will offer a wider set of tools than the Google API currently provides. This addition will make the map experience on the website more intuitive and increase the understanding of Avian Influenza by displaying flyway patterns, point data, and relationships with physical features.
